The Photovoltaics Laboratory at CIN2 works on nanostructured materials for Excitonic solar cells, Dye Sensitized Solar Cells, organic Solar Cells and Hybrid Solar Cells. Our work encompasses the synthesis of nanomaterials, the fabrication of nanostructured electrodes applying organic polymers and/or inorganic nanostructures and the complete fabrication of solar cells.
Our equipment: Solar Test 1200 Sun Simulator, Piranometer CM41, Mini-Spectrophotometer AvaSpec, Quantum efficiency measurements Oriel, Potentiostat/Galvanostat from Princeton Applied Research, UV-Vis from Shimadzu, Furnace, High temperature Mufle, Ovens, etc.
Our temporarily laboratory started in February 2008…

Today … we have set up the basic infrastructure for solar cell materials synthesis, characterization and testing…

The building for our new research centre (CIN2) is ready. We expect to move to our new laboratory any time from now …

We are part of the Nanocience and Nanotechnology Research Centre (CIN2, CSIC-ICN) , a mix centre between the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) and the Catalan Institute of Nanotechnology (Catalonia Governament).
